SME Beginning of the Year Procedures

2006-2007 SuccessMaker Core Team

2011-2012 SuccessMaker Core Team
Beginning of the Year Procedures

You may begin using SuccessMaker as soon as possible.  Please start students in IPM no later than September 12th, 2011.

1. Students will be imported and Core Team Members will be notified once this is done.

Note High School and Alternative School:

SME Core Team members please e-mail a list of students to be imported.

2. Students will be placed in each school’s ALL-school group and grade level groups.

What you will need to complete at your school site:

1.  Teachers were not deleted from the SuccessMaker. New teachers will need to be added and teachers who left your school site will need to be deleted. Assign every teacher as Teacher Specific and grant access to their grade level group and class group at their site through the Information Folder Rights.  Do not change this access.  Core team members will remain at the System Manager Level.

2.  Place the students into grade level groups from the school All User group.

3.  Have teachers put students into their teacher group.

4.  Teachers will assign students to courses.  Remember to add students to the basic course.  Do not create custom courses.

5.  Teachers will need a copy of the grade level Cumulative Performance Reports that you printed at the end of last school year to enter their students in at the proper IPM level.  Please make these available.

6.  All students will need to go through IPM.
